In New York City, Hearst’s decades-long relationships with Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and NewYork-Presbyterian have helped both organizations innovate and expand their footprints. Hearst President and CEO Steven R. Swartz is chair of Lincoln Center’s board of directors and vice chairman of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Hearst Executive Vice Chairman and Former CEO Frank A. Bennack Jr. is a past chairman of Lincoln Center and past chairman of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. He has also served as chairman of the Paley Center for Media since 1991.
Hearst is engaged with civic leaders, both locally and nationally, through executive committee and chair roles with the Partnership for New York City, a public/private partnership with a legacy of 250 years of civic engagement, and as a member of the Business Roundtable, which for 50 years has worked with policymakers to create jobs and opportunities across the U.S. Hearst colleagues also dedicate their time and talent to organizations around the country that are making a difference.

Hearst Tower
Following one of America’s greatest crises, Hearst chose to solidify its commitment to New York City by approving and constructing a state-of-the-art headquarters that would serve as a beacon of resiliency and sustainability. The first skyscraper to break ground in New York City after 9/11, and completed in 2006, Hearst Tower rises 46 stories above its historic landmark base, blending past and future unlike any other office building in North America.
